"THE CLASSROOM IS OUR HOME AND THE SCHOOL IS OUR TOWN"
Kindertown's curriculum aims to encourage exploration, create knowledge and inspire innovation.
For twenty-five years, Kindertown has been part of the Heritage Green community on the Stoney Creek Mountain. As a family-run early learning centre, we believe children are capable, curious participants in the world around them. They learn through relationships, movement, play, care, and repeated encounters with the places they come to know. Our educators pay close attention to what children notice, question, create, and return to. Through observation and documentation, they shape environments and experiences that give children’s ideas room to grow. Learning reaches beyond the classroom into our gardens, neighbourhood, and city, while everyday experiences with stories, conversation, drawing, building, sorting, and measuring build foundations in literacy and numeracy.
belonging
As a family-run center, it is in our nature to cultivate authentic, caring relationships and connections among and between children, adults and the world around them.
well-being
We believe that each child should be confident, self-assured, and self-aware. To help nurture these qualities: safety, well-being and healthy development is at the heart of all we do.
engagement
Kindertown learning environments aid our educators in creating everyday experiences that help engage students in active, creative and meaningful exploration.
expression
At Kindertown, we encourage children to express and communicate themselves in different ways. By equipping them with a diverse set of tools and materials, we help them find their voice.
