You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose” – Dr. Seuss

TODDLERS:

At Kindertown, we encourage toddlers to begin thinking and acting for themselves. Through programs and activities that encourage independent acts of learning, we hope to instill a confidence in each child to develop, test and explore their own theories about the big, vast world around them.

By nurturing this sense of self, and guiding them to regulate their emotions, bodily functions and social competencies, we can help grow their individual autonomy. We develop these learning developments further by challenging children with diverse learning environments, materials and reflective documentation that helps to deepen their learning.

PRESCHOOL:

Our Preschool program builds upon the self-help skills developed in our toddler programs by implementing school-ready skill sets. Developed around a play-based learning curriculum, our educators focus on individual curiosities and interests that arise throughout the day. By embracing the role as researcher, Kindertown educators document, reflect and implement a program that is responsive to these special learning moments  and their relation to ideas of numeracy, literacy, science, and natural wonder.
